Saddle demo

When purchasing new saddles, it is very important to understand whether they fit both – the horse and the rider. As the horse moves in different gaits, the desired saddle model may suddenly seem completely uncomfortable or, on the contrary, another model that seemed unattractive "at first glance" suddenly becomes so comfortable that you don't even want to get off the horse! It is not possible to determine the suitability of the saddle for the rider just by sitting in them "on the rack".

A saddle demo will help you understand whether you feel comfortable in the saddle, whether it provides enough support, and whether it is what you wanted. Or, on the contrary – after the demo, you will realize that you need a different saddle.

To make an objective decision about purchasing a saddle and to be confident in your choice – try the saddle on your own horse! Sign up for a saddle demo!

More about each brand

How does the saddle demo work?

  • The rider has the opportunity to try different saddle models.
  • When saddling the horse, it is checked whether the saddle is balanced on the horse – if necessary, corrected with a pad. Keep in mind that during the test, the most important thing is the rider, and a slightly unsuitable saddle will not harm the horse during one training session. It is important that the saddle is balanced so that the rider can sit correctly in it.
  • The rider may try the saddle at all gaits, may jump obstacles, perform dressage elements, etc., to understand whether the saddle will suit their chosen discipline and riding style.
  • If the trial is successful, the horse's back is measured and the measurements are sent to the factory for saddle production.

How to prepare for the demo?

  • The horse is prepared for training – it has a bridle and leg protectors (if necessary).
  • You need your own sweat rug (sweat sheet), girth and stirrups (with all straps).
  • Wear trousers without rivets and/or zippers on the back of the trousers to avoid damaging the saddle leather.
  • Choose riding boots or chaps where rivets and/or zippers do not come into contact with the saddle flap.
  • Mount the horse from a mounting block.
  • A helmet must be worn during the test.

How much does it cost?

The fee for the saddle demo and horse back measurement service is  50 EUR. If one owner has several horses, then for each additional one it is +25 EUR.

Additional travel expenses depend on the distance, planned route and are agreed upon in advance.
